Gitel's Pantry works to provide hot lunch programs to children on scholarship who have food insecurity in both elementary and middle school.

Through raising seven kids and over 30 years, Gitel recognized food insecurity would be an issue even in private schools. She would monitor and identify those children on financial aid to ensure the necessary funds would be paid anonymously.

Her generosity will be continued through Gitel's Pantry as a way to provide hot lunch programs to children on financial aid.

Gitel's Reading Nook works to provide literacy materials for children who are at risk of falling behind in both elementary and middle school.

Through raising seven kids and over 30 years, Gitel recognized literacy would be an issue even in private schools. She would habitually purchase books for classrooms and make sure classrooms were in working order.

Her generosity will be continued through Gitel's Reading Nook as a way to provide extra literacy resources to children at risk of falling behind.
